Ground Control Gritting provides a trusted grit bin refill service and supplies loose salt for companies that require self-service winter risk management. Salt supplies and self-service gritting materials can be provided as part of a routine service or on request.

Grit bin service

Our cost-effective scheduled grit bin filling service is perfect for smaller, single-office locations, in hard-to-reach locations at larger sites, or as part of a company's winter risk management plan.

In addition to scheduled visits, you notify us that your bin needs filling, and we attend the site within 48-72 hours during the normal winter season.

If you have a Ground Control Gritting contract but have grit bins on site, we can inspect the bin as part of a gritting visit, and refill it when needed. 

Loose grit and salt supplies

Ground Control is one of the largest procurers of gritting salt and materials. 

We supply locally sourced brown rock and white marine salt.

Our pallets of 25kg bags of salt are perfect for when salt is stored and used at the same location. For example for use with a push spreader for self-service gritting.

Our one-tonne bags of salt are ideal for larger areas within a site, where you deliver your service manually or with a small spreader.  You can dispense directly from the bag, or lift the bag with a telehandler to offload the contents.

Our customers can also request loose salt delivered to their facilities and benefit from economies of scale.
