We see the need for ditching
Bonus ditching and reprofiling project for BAM Nuttall at Carr LaneMore than just vegetation clearance
Ground Control’s valued client BAM Nuttall, one of Europe’s largest civil engineering and construction companies, recently benefited from our added-value services in the form of a reprofiled ditch on land adjacent to the railway at the Carr Lane, Doncaster area.
Menzi Muck at Carr Lane before ditching
Ground Control was initially deployed for vegetation clearance services using our specialist mechanical arboriculture resources including the Menzi Muck and Bandit 20XP Whole Tree Chipper. The Menzi Muck used a series of specialist attachments including tree shear and stump/root ball grinder.
Due to the efficiencies and capabilities of our teams and equipment, we extended our services to reprofiling the ditch on the surrounding land between two railway tracks.
Carr Lane ditch works
Works included clearance of root balls and excessive vegetation to prevent future flooding and to allow water to flow from ditch to ditch.
The same works were also carried out on the Beeches Farm site in Chester.
Following the ditch clearance works, Ground Control, now delivers the ongoing maintenance of the site, through reseeding and replacement planting in addition to necessary trimming of vegetation, to ensure that the railways are safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly all year round.
The result is maximum service to our client at minimal cost, with sustainable, long-term benefits.
