Ground Control has been shortlisted in two categories at the 2025 Pro Landscaper Business Awards. These are ‘Landscape Company over £5m Turnover’ in recognition of the company, and  ‘Investment/Acquisition of the Year’ in recognition of the Devana Centre for Environmental Recovery.

Taking place in April, the Pro Landscaper Business Awards showcases and recognises organisations that are leading the UK’s landscaping industry.

Shortlisted for ‘Landscape Company over £5m Turnover’, shows Ground Control’s progressive learning and development opportunities, its continued commitment to social and environmental responsibility, a strategic approval to client retention, and its long-term commitment to the landscaping industry.

On being shortlisted for two awards, Jason Knights, Managing Director, commented:

We are immensely proud to see the hard work across our business recognised in this year's Pro Landscaper Awards shortlists. Being shortlisted in the Landscape Company category is a fantastic achievement, as is seeing Devana recognized for Investment of the Year. These nominations reinforce our purpose as a force for good, bringing life and energy into our environments for the benefit of the whole community. Good luck to all the shortlisted businesses and thank you to Pro Landscaper for this recognition.

Also shortlisted, the Devana Centre for Environmental Recovery is the second centre and habitat bank, which aims to not only create Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Units, but to support Natural Cambridgeshire’s ambition to double land managed for nature across the region. As an investment, Devana is one of Ground Control’s ‘habitat banks for BNG’, combining forward-thinking business with the 100-acre dedicated to nature-recovery.

Chris Bawtree, Nature Recovery Director added:

It is great to see our forward-thinking investment in nature and Devana shortlisted. Providing high-integrity BNG units is the perfect amalgamation of our nature recovery and business experience to ensure that whilst this BNG market is growing, it is still focusing on what is best for nature.

This success builds on a successful 2024, where Ground Control was awarded ‘Sustainable Company of the Year’ and highly commended for ‘Design Studio of the Year’.
