Ground Control Ltd today announces Kim Morrish, Non-Executive Director, has decided to step down from her role on the board and as lead of the Evergreen Fund after more than 20 years with the company. This announcement comes with heartfelt recognition of her invaluable contributions and legacy, which have been instrumental in shaping the company’s success, values, and culture.

As Ground Control has grown from a small team to an industry leader, Kim has consistently been a champion of people and purpose. Her leadership during pivotal moments—like the Tilhill acquisition in 2012—demonstrated her resilience and commitment to the company. Managing the transfer of 100 staff in the face of cultural challenges, she laid the foundation for Ground Control’s expansion into utility arboriculture and rail, marking a transformational shift for the company.

As an advocate for women in leadership, Kim inspired numerous initiatives and networks both within and beyond Ground Control, empowering countless women to advance their careers. Her passion for employee well-being was further demonstrated through mental health initiatives, flexible working arrangements, and wellbeing campaigns that remain integral to Ground Control’s culture today.

Kim’s impact has touched every corner of our business. Her leadership and insights have helped to build a supportive workplace, empowering us all to thrive. Kim’s commitment to employee and environmental initiatives has not only strengthened Ground Control’s competitiveness but also instilled a legacy of balancing people, profit, and planet. This is exemplified in her passionate and engaging calls to enhance biodiversity at Green Gains Live with the aim of inspiring colleagues, partners and clients to take action for nature.

In closing, Jason expressed his deep gratitude:

It is with gratitude and sadness that we say goodbye to Kim and wish her all the best in her future endeavours’. Her legacy as a force for good and her commitment to positive change will continue to inspire us all.
