This is in response to the circulating video of the NHS staff member visibly upset after being unable to access a basic selection of food in the supermarket due to mass panic buying. The NHS Care Package includes the bare essentials, such as bread, milk, eggs, veg and cheese but the response has been overwhelming. “It is completely run on donations which is amazing, as we do not have to charge the NHS workers anything for these packages. We have been working very closely with Tesco Hailsham, where we have been receiving all our boxes and Travelodge Hellingly, near Eastbourne donated all of their remaining food for our packages, when they closed” Lewis Williams are delivering an average of 20 packages a day with over 200 packages already delivered and states “I finally feel that I am helping slightly towards this pandemic”
