Ground Control CEO wins LDC Entrepreneur of the Year

Simon Morrish, Ground Control CEO is recognised as Entrepreneur of the Year at the Lloyds Bank Business Excellence Awards

Our CEO Simon Morrish has been presented with the ‘LDC Entrepreneur of the year Award’ at the 2021 Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards.

The awards celebrate the resilience, innovation and creativity of British businesses and the people that make them exceptional. The business can big or small, an innovative new start-up or an established industry player, and from the private, public or third sector.

The Entrepreneur of the Year award category, celebrates an enterprising individual who has achieved sustained levels of growth and strong financial performance through a culture of innovation, resilience, and a leadership style that inspires others.

Simon has been recognised as an outstanding entrepreneur for best demonstrating his exceptional visionary and inspirational leadership. He identifies market opportunities, and understands how to effectively motivate employees and apply resources to optimise these opportunities. This is backed up by measures of success in the form of strong commercial performance, financial results and demonstrable growth that creates real, added shareholder value.

Evidence of effective planning for sustained growth, innovation, customer engagement, loyality and an ethical approach to business was also apparent in Simon’s standout nomination.

The awards were celebrated at a prestigious ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, 9th November 2021.
