Lisa Blakey

Lisa joined Ground Control in July 2023. Lisa is a seasoned HR professional with over 30 years of experience spanning Manufacturing, Construction, and Engineering industries. A Fellow of the CIPD and Member of the Institute of Directors, she was honoured in 2019 for her contributions to HR and People Development.

As Chief People Office at Ground Control, Lisa leads the people function, responsible for HR, resourcing, employee engagement, and Learning and Development initiatives. Fuelled by her passion for designing impactful people agendas, Lisa implemented a HR business partner model to ensure closer alignment with business unit teams and foster an inclusive work environment where individuals and businesses thrive.

Previously, as founder of Encompass Development, Lisa led a team of 30 to deliver tailored training solutions, earning OFSTED's GOOD rating and Investors in People GOLD accreditation. She also held executive HR roles at Shepherd Built Environment and Shepherd Engineering Services, managing large teams and complex transitions, including a TUPE transfer and business sale.

Lisa holds a Degree in Human Resources, certifications in Training and Coaching, and an IOSH Safety Qualification. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys quality time with her family and dog Bruno as well as cooking, entertaining and traveling the world.
