Daniel Grix

Daniel joined Ground Control in September 2023 as Director of Landscape, Design & Energy, bringing with him over 25 years of senior leadership experience in the construction and housebuilding sectors. With a strong background in commercial and technical roles, Daniel has held key positions including Commercial Director at 5-star housebuilder Bellway Homes, and most recently, Managing Director of Construction at SME developer Gracewood Construction.

Daniel is a dynamic and motivational leader, known for building and guiding high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams. His experience spans residential development, major regeneration schemes, and innovative construction methods across both public and private sectors. At Ground Control, he is responsible for leading a diverse portfolio of landscape construction, design consultancy, and energy solutions, while driving commercial growth and strategic direction as a member of the Executive Committee.

Under Daniel’s leadership, Ground Control has expanded its offering in sustainable energy through the launch of GC Energy Solutions, delivering EV infrastructure, solar installations, and decarbonisation services to help clients on their journey to Net Zero. He also oversees the delivery of landscape projects ranging from natural play spaces and roof gardens to woodland creation and large-scale public realm schemes.

With deep industry knowledge and a people-focused approach, Daniel is passionate about developing talent, championing sustainability, and delivering high-impact solutions that shape greener, more resilient environments.
