Chris joined Ground Control in September 2022 as Chief Information Officer, leading the company’s technology and data strategy.

With over 20 years of experience across the retail, airport, and publishing sectors, Chris brings deep expertise in IT leadership within fast-paced, constantly evolving environments. His career includes major transformation initiatives, scaling operations at Tesco.com, and building technology functions that are both commercially driven and customer-centric.

At Ground Control, Chris is driving a data-led, integrated technology strategy that supports the company’s ambitious growth and environmental mission. He is focused on embedding a culture of accountability and commerciality within the tech function, ensuring technology is a key driver of value and innovation across the business. He works closely with stakeholders at all levels to deliver aligned, customer-focused solutions that meet both immediate and long-term goals.

A key priority for Chris is strengthening Ground Control’s cybersecurity.  Under his leadership, the business is enhancing its digital resilience and ensuring robust protection of systems, data, and customer trust in an increasingly complex threat landscape.

Chris is also committed to building and nurturing high-performing, multi-functional teams, empowering people to work with agility, innovate boldly, and stay ahead in a rapidly changing world. Chris holds a degree in Economics from Churchill College, University of Cambridge.

He lives in London and is an active member of his local cricket club.
